How to install safety valve of pressure vessel

1. The closed safety valve should be equipped with a discharge pipe to discharge gas to the outdoors or other safe places. The effective diameter of the discharge pipe should be no less than the outlet diameter of the safety valve and should have reliable support to avoid vibration or excessive additional stress on the container after the safety valve is opened. At the same time, the discharge pipe must be able to expand and contract freely so that it can expand freely when discharging medium with higher temperature. Exhaust pipes with flammable media should also be grounded with wires.

2. It is not suitable to install an intermediate stop valve between the pressure vessel and the safety valve. For pressure vessels containing flammable, extremely, highly, moderately hazardous or viscous media, in order to facilitate the replacement and cleaning of the safety valve, a stop valve can be installed between the pressure vessel and the safety valve. The structure and flow of the stop valve The diameter size should not hinder the normal discharge of the safety valve. When the pressure vessel is operating normally, the stop valve must be kept fully open and sealed.

3. The safety valve should be installed vertically, and should be installed in the gas phase space above the liquid level of the pressure vessel, or on the pipeline connected to the gas phase space of the pressure vessel. The cross-sectional area of the through hole of the connecting pipe fitting between the pressure vessel and the safety valve shall not be smaller than the inlet cross-sectional area of the safety valve, and the connecting pipe shall be as short and straight as possible. When two or more safety valves are installed on one connection port of a pressure vessel, the inlet area of the connection port should be at least equal to the sum of the inlet cross-sectional areas of these safety valves.
