1. External inspection

Also known as in-operation inspection, the specific contents of the inspection include: whether the surface of the equipment has abnormal conditions such as cracks, deformation, leakage, and local overheating; whether the accessories are complete, flexible, and reliable; whether the tightened anchor bolts are intact, All tightened; basically whether there are any abnormalities such as downward movement, skew and damage to the anti-corrosion layer. The external inspection is not only the work of the inspectors, but also the daily inspection items of the operators. If serious hazards (such as cracks, deformations, serious leakage, etc.) are found in the stressed components, the operation should be stopped and the relevant personnel should be reported in time.

2. External environment detection

The inspection of the external environment of the pressure vessel must be carried out after the vehicle is parked and the interior of the vessel is cleaned. The specific content of the inspection includes not only all the contents of the external inspection, but also the corrosion damage of the inner and outer layers; use human eyes and a high-magnification magnifying glass to check whether there are cracks in the entire welding, stainless steel head joint area and other stress positions, and select when necessary Ultrasonic or radiographic flaw detection inspection of welding internal quality; accurate measurement of wall thickness.

If the measured wall thickness is lower than the minimum wall thickness of the container, the strength check should be carried out again, and the use or maintenance countermeasures should be put forward; for the container that may cause the alloy composition change of the metal composite, metallographic inspection should be carried out when necessary; The main bolts of high-pressure and high-pressure vessels should be inspected for cracks by magnetic particle inspection or coloring. Through external environmental testing, the reasons for the detected defects should be analyzed and a resolution should be put forward.

A re-inspection shall be carried out after maintenance. The testing cycle for the external environment of the equipment is once every three years, but the testing cycle for containers with obvious corrosive substances and toxic substances should be reduced. The inspection cycle should also be shortened for containers with serious defects found during operation and containers with poor welding quality and unknown material corrosion resistance.

The commonly used detection methods for pressure vessels are external inspection and external environment detection. Because some objects carried by such equipment are corrosive or flammable gases, we must ensure that the equipment does not exist when we use it. Leakage and other issues, otherwise it may cause some irreparable losses, which is a scenario that we do not want to see.
