1. The closed safety valve should be equipped with a discharge pipe to discharge the gas to the outside or other safe places. The effective diameter of the discharge pipe should not be smaller than the outlet diameter of the safety valve, and there should be reliable support to avoid vibration or excessive additional stress on the container after the safety valve is opened. At the same time, it is necessary to allow the discharge pipe to expand and contract freely, so that it can expand freely when discharging medium with a high temperature. For the exhaust pipe of flammable medium, the wire grounding should also be applied.

2. Intermediate cut-off valves should not be installed between the pressure vessel and the safety valve. For pressure vessels containing flammable, highly toxic, moderately hazardous or viscous media, in order to facilitate the replacement and cleaning of the safety valve, a stop valve can be installed between the pressure vessel and the safety valve. The structure and ventilation of the stop valve The diameter size should not hinder the normal discharge of the safety valve. When the pressure vessel is in normal operation, the shut-off valve must be kept fully open and sealed with lead.

3. The safety valve should be installed vertically, and should be installed in the part of the gas phase space above the liquid surface of the pressure vessel, or installed on the pipeline connected to the gas phase space of the pressure vessel. The cross-sectional area of the through hole of the connecting pipe between the pressure vessel and the safety valve shall not be smaller than the inlet cross-sectional area of the safety valve, and the connecting pipe shall be as short and straight as possible. When two or more safety valves are installed on one connection of the pressure vessel, the area of the inlet of the connection should be at least equal to the sum of the inlet cross-sectional areas of these safety valves.
