Structural Composition
A tubular heat exchanger mainly consists of a tube bundle, tube sheet, shell, end caps, and baffles. The tube bundle is fixed to the tube sheet at both ends. The tubes can be expanded or welded to the tube sheet. The tube bundle is placed inside the shell, with end caps at both ends and secured by flanges. One fluid flows inside the tubes, and the other fluid flows outside. The space between the end caps and the tube sheet serves to distribute and collect the fluids inside the tubes. The two fluids exchange heat through the tube walls.
